Mr. Heady has over 20 years of experience fighting for the rights of accident victims in the Chicagoland area. Mr. Heady has vast experience with many different types injury cases including car and motorcycle collisions, trucking accidents, nursing home cases, medical malpractice cases and wrongful death cases. Terry Heady has been named as one of the top 100 litigation lawyers in the State of Illinois for the years 2012, through 2017 by the American Society of Legal Advocates. He has also been named as one of the top 100 lawyers in Illinois by the National Trial Lawyers for the years 2014 through 2017.
Mr. Heady is also a member of the federal trial bar for the Northern District of Illinois. His experience in successfully trying cases to verdict is helpful when it comes time to negotiating with insurance adjusters who know that if they do not make a fair settlement offer, Mr. Heady is ready, willing and able to take the case to trial. Mr. Heady litigates cases in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs and has tried jury cases in Cook, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, Winnebago and Will counties.
In addition to personal injury and medical malpractice cases, Mr. Heady also represents employees who have been wrongfully fired from their jobs or who have otherwise have been the victim of illegal discrimination. Mr. Heady handles Title VII discrimination cases including discrimination based on race, sex, disability and age. Mr. Heady also handles sexual harassment cases and retaliatory discharge cases. Mr. Heady has litigated employment discrimination cases both in federal court and before the Illinois Human Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
